Changes in Chicago O’Hare Routes
United Airlines has released several important adjustments in its services from one of the most active centres- Chicago O’Hare. The Athens service will be activated from May 22, 2025, onwards but it will commence from May 1 to September 24, 2025. A Boeing 787-10 aircraft will be used for more efficient service provision. The seasonal Barcelona service will begin earlier than initially scheduled, on April 21, 2025, with the use of Boeing 787-8.
The Milan Malpensa seasonal service will also see a slight adjustment, now starting on April 7, 2025, instead of the previously planned March 29. Meanwhile, the Munich route will switch from the 787-10 to the smaller 787-8 aircraft, although it will still maintain its daily service. For Paris Charles de Gaulle, United Airlines will make the opposite fleet change, using the larger 787-10 in place of the 787-8.
Seasonal service to Reykjavik Keflavik from May 19 through September 23, 2025, will be offered using the 757-200 aircraft. United will also maintain daily service to Shannon, Ireland on the 757-200.
Houston and Los Angeles Route Changes
In Houston, United Airlines will be making adjustments to its routes for Amsterdam and Munich. The Amsterdam journey will proceed daily with the 767-300ER. The Munich service will take up the bigger 777-200ER aircraft for higher passenger capacity.

Newark Routes: New Additions and Adjustments
United Airlines will expand from Newark, international presence with more seasonal routes and increased frequency. The airline plans to launch seasonal service to beautiful destinations like Bilbao, Spain, Funchal, Madeira, Nuuk, Greenland, Palermo and Italy. You can avail the route three times per week, the Boeing 757-200 will serve Bilbao and the Boeing 737 MAX 8 will serve Funchal.
The UA is increasing its frequency to Dubrovnik Croatia from four to seven times weekly on the 767-400ER. The Barcelona service will operate daily on a 777-200ER, in place of the previously planned 767-400ER.
Newark route changes include changes to existing routes. Dubai service will shift from 777-200ER to the 777-300ER category. The Frankfurt from 787-10 to 777-300ER will be upgraded to carry more travellers.
UA will introduce daily flights to Naples, Italy. Daily operations will commence from April 2025 using a 767-300ER aircraft.
Expanding Service in the Pacific and Asia
United Airlines is transforming the flights operated from San Francisco to the Pacific. United will continue flying the Auckland route at a three-weekly operation with the 777-200ER replacing the originally planned 787-9.
The airline company will conduct the Brisbane route four times a week using the 777-200ER. The carrier Papeete route will face an aircraft change from a 787-8 to a 787-9 aircraft.
The Airline will initiate new flights from Tokyo Narita. Daily operations from the Japanese airport to Kaohsiung Taiwan will start operating on July 11 2025 using a 737-800. The latest routes will add Koror and Ulaanbaatar to increase the United Airlines network in the region.
Washington D.C. Adjustments and New Services
Washington Dulles Airport will also see some changes. United will commence a new seasonal service to Nice, France, with four weekly frequencies effective May 2025 onwards.
Service to Dakar, Senegal will begin May 23, 2025, and three weekly round trips on a 767-300ER. Lisbon service will be reduced to six weekly flights from seven and Paris Charles de Gaulle will operate its summer schedule on a 767-400ER.
Rome Fiumicino will face a modification in the fleet as the 767-400ER overtakes the 777-200ER fractionally for the summer.
